OUR SPECIALTY LOG HOMES

We specialize in hand-crafted, custom log homes and log cabins using your choice of Lodgepole pine, Engelman spruce or Douglas fir logs with an average mean diameter of 12–16 inches. The majority of our log cabins and homes use the popular "Norwegian Saddle Notch", however the "Wedge Notch", "Diamond Notch" and "Dovetail Notch" are also available.

CUSTOM BUILT LOG HOMES

The logs we select are full length with no butt joints and are hand-peeled, hand-scribed, and hand-cut utilizing the Scandinavian full scribe method, allowing each log to be tight fitted to the log below.

All of our log homes and cabins are sanded inside and out and all exterior log corners are curled and thoroughly sanded for a decorative finish.

We also provide custom features such as mortise and tenon log stairs, log picket railings, archways, log trusses and dormers.

On our 20 acre work site located in Clinton B.C. Canada, we are well equipped to make your log home dreams come true.

High Mountain Log Homes is located where the trees are, in the Cariboo region of British Columbia — the heart of the log home industry. Clinton is approximately 240 miles northeast of Vancouver, BC, on Highway 97.

WATCH US BUILD YOUR LOG HOME

During the construction phase of your log home or log cabin, we offer you a Free Weekend Accommodation in our private, reconstructed circa 1800s log guest home, situated on the family cattle ranch and seconds from our log home yard site. Please call us to book a weekend so you may relax for a couple of days and watch your new log home or log cabin being constructed.
